Overview
Roll-Off Dumpster Rental in Scottsdale
Roll-off dumpster rental is the core of what we do at Herbert Bros Dumpster Rental. We own our containers and run our own trucks out of our Scottsdale Airpark yard, delivering 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 yard containers across the region, often the same day if you call before noon. Because we operate our own fleet instead of dispatching through a broker, we can usually find an open slot even during a busy stretch, and our driver already knows the terrain.
Whatever the project -- a residential cleanout in McCormick Ranch, a commercial buildout near Old Town, a renovation in Fountain Hills, or monsoon-storm cleanup anywhere across Maricopa County -- a roll-off gives you one flat rate for delivery, pickup and disposal, with no separate trip charges buried in the fine print. That flat-rate approach is deliberate: we would rather quote it once and stand behind it than have line items pile up after the fact.
Scottsdale's HOA-governed communities and desert terrain both matter more here than in flatter parts of the country: see our cost factors guide for what actually drives pricing on a job like yours.

What goes in — and what doesn't
Good for
- Any one-time debris removal project, residential or commercial
- New-construction and renovation job sites across Maricopa County
- Monsoon storm and yard debris cleanup
- Moving, downsizing and whole-property cleanouts
- Multi-day and multi-phase projects needing scheduled swap-outs
Cannot go in
- Hazardous household or industrial waste of any kind
- Liquids, fuel, paint or chemical containers
- Tires, batteries, gas cylinders or propane tanks without prior arrangement
- Loads exceeding a container's weight allowance without notice -- call ahead on heavy debris
Arizona bans a specific list of materials from landfills. If you are unsure about an item, call (480) 319-6826 before it goes in the container — it costs nothing to ask and a lot to sort out afterwards. Full detail in our banned materials guide.
Five sizes, one flat rate each
The 20, 30 and 40 yard containers share the same 22-foot by 7.5-foot footprint and simply get taller, which keeps placement predictable no matter which of the three you need -- the difference is capacity, not the amount of driveway or lot space it takes up. The 10 and 15 yard containers are shorter and lower-walled, better suited to tighter residential driveways common in older Old Town Scottsdale lots. Every size is quoted as one flat rate covering delivery, the rental period, pickup and proper disposal.

Our own fleet, built for Scottsdale's terrain and communities
Every driver on our team knows the difference between dropping a container on an open Airpark commercial lot and setting one carefully inside a McCormick Ranch or Gainey Ranch community with its own placement rules. Driveway grade, gate codes, HOA guidelines and even the season all factor into how we plan a delivery -- and because it's our own crew every time, you're not starting over with a new company if something needs adjusting mid-project.
That consistency matters most during Arizona's monsoon season, when a thunderstorm cell or haboob can shift a delivery window by a few hours. We would rather call ahead and adjust than send a truck out into conditions that aren't safe for our driver or your property.
Delivered across Scottsdale and Maricopa County
We deliver throughout Scottsdale -- Scottsdale Airpark, McCormick Ranch, Old Town Scottsdale, DC Ranch and Gainey Ranch -- and out to the surrounding Maricopa County communities we serve regularly, including Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills, Cave Creek, Carefree, Tempe and North Phoenix. See our full service area for delivery details by location.
Placement basics before you book
Most roll-offs go straight onto a driveway or job-site lot, which keeps things simple and permit-free in the majority of cases. A street or right-of-way placement is the exception that typically needs a City of Scottsdale permit inside city limits, or the applicable permit from the town or Maricopa County outside it -- we'll tell you plainly whether your job needs one before delivery day. If you're digging or grading near the placement spot, call Arizona 811 first. The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) sets the broader rules around solid waste disposal that we operate under, though that mostly stays behind the scenes on a standard rental.

| 20 Yard | Whole-home cleanouts, standard renovations and typical roofing tear-offs |
| 30 Yard | Larger construction, major remodels and estate or property clearances |

Answers
Roll-Off Dumpster Rental — questions we get asked
What is the difference between the five dumpster sizes?
The 10 and 15 yard containers are shorter with lower walls, ideal for tight driveways and smaller loads. The 20, 30 and 40 yard containers share the same footprint and just get taller, so the choice among those three comes down to how much debris you're hauling, not how much room you have to place it.
How long can I keep a roll-off dumpster?
The standard rental period covers most residential and commercial projects comfortably. Longer jobs and multi-phase construction sites can arrange extended rentals or scheduled swap-outs -- just tell us the timeline when you book.
Do you deliver outside Scottsdale city limits?
Yes -- we regularly deliver to Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills, Cave Creek, Carefree, Tempe and North Phoenix, in addition to every neighborhood inside Scottsdale itself. Check our service area page for your specific location.
Is delivery really same-day?
Often, yes -- call before noon and we can usually have a container on site the same day, weather and route permitting. See our same-day dumpster rental page for details.
Do you charge extra for delivery and pickup separately?
No -- delivery, the rental period, pickup and proper disposal are all built into one flat rate quoted before we show up. See our cost guide for the factors that actually drive that rate.
